YES Calendar 2012 Premiere
It was a spectacular event not only in the jewellery but also in the fashion world. The 2012 YES Calendar presents fascinating gemstones and unique creations by Polish designers. The highlight of the evening, which took place in Reduta Banku Polskiego in Warsaw again, was an auction of photographs from the calendar followed by a performance by the popular Polish singer, BRODKA.
The beauty of jewellery as inspiration for the most interesting talents from the Polish world of fashion – this was the idea behind the 2012 YES Calendar. Krzystof Stróżyna, Blessus, Bizuu, Mariusz Przybylski, Zuo Corp, Łukasz Jemioł – these are the best Polish designers, whose talent and imagination created unique and intriguing collections for the 2012 YES Calendar.
The cover is decorated by a design by the renowned Polish-German fashion designer, Dawid Tomaszewski, in elegant harmony with a Jubilé ring with a blue topaz and 30 diamonds from the jubilee collection designed on the 30th anniversary of YES by Mateusz Madelski, who was responsible for developing the YES brand. The following pages also present the jewellery created by YES Designers, including Éternel – an ideal one-stone diamond ring, Lotus – an artistic necklace decorated with Swarovski Elements and pearls of which only 30 copies were made, as well as the designs from the most popular collections: YES Rings and YES Steel. The calendar demonstrates three features of YES jewellery: emotionality, individuality and design in a very attractive way.
The 2012 YES Calendar is also an intriguing personality of a contemporary woman portrayed in sophisticated photographs by a Warsaw photographer, Aldona Karczmarczyk, whose portfolio includes projects realised for the biggest cosmetics and clothing brands. It is also down to the talented model, “the new face” of the YES campaign, Ewa Witkowska – the first Pole whose face appeared on the cover of the French edition of the Vogue magazine. The photographs from the calendar were sold at a charity auction. The amount collected was donated to the Rak'n'Roll Foundation that supports people suffering from cancer.
Every guest – people representing the world of fashion, design and media – received the YES Calendar, which was the evening's protagonist. It was a highly desirable gift because, as every year, it only has a limited print run.
The film made during the photo session for the 2012 YES Calendar was part of the YES advertising campaign on television.
